Introduction of Suzhou Maite Technology: RF components and equipment test series: RF filter test

A radio frequency filter, or filter, is a component/device that modifies the amplitude and phase angle of a signal according to frequency. The filter is designed to have a predetermined frequency-dependent transmission response, which is mainly used to attenuate the parts of the spectrum that may have bad signal components, interference or noise.

Filters can be divided into passive and active.

Active filters use tuning electronics, which can include tuning circuits, amplifiers and other active/passive circuits.

A passive filter consists of passive structures and elements, such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, resonators, attenuators, etc.

Radio frequency digital filters, which use digital hardware to perform signal conditioning function on digitized signals, such as application specific integrated circuit (ASIC), field programmable gate array (FPGA) or digital signal processor (DSP).
